Sunday "Make-it-Happen" Team

From start to finish, tons of work goes into an effective and dynamic Sunday morning service. From arranging and placing the letters on the front display sign… to typing, printing, and folding the What’s Happening bulletin. From making sure the entrances are cleared, the lights turned on and even the heating adjusted to make this time comfortable….to whose doing the announcements and did somone fill the baptismal tank with warm water?

Our Welcoming Team

Are you especially friendly and like to greet people with a warm smile? This is our “first impressions do last” opportunity to welcome people into our facilities…not just at the door, but to see that they know where their children go or just where to find some hot coffee and a Timbit waiting for them. This team sees that the communication cards are passed out and the offering is collected too.

Audio/Visual Production Team

So you have some computer skills, you like to work with Powerpoint, and you have a creative bent! We are a “visual” church with a big screen up front that we utilize often. From the songs we sing, to the announcements we read and hear about, this is a vital part of what goes on.

Audio/video Management Team

Check -1-2-3…Mic…check 1… check 2. Do you feel the need to “push the buttons?” Well, our sound board has over 1000 of them. From the sound checks and starting the countdown, to the PowerPoint slide advancing, people are needed throughout our services to keep things flowing smoothly.

Sunday Serving Team

Are you into catering and food services? Not many monetary tips here, but there is eternal rewards! Fresh coffee and Timbits are the “Get up and Go” we need for a comfortable and welcoming time. This team makes sure coffee supplies and Timbits are ordered and on hand, does communion prep, and sets up Sunday morning with everything ready to go!

Worship Team

Hey, you might not be the next Canadian Idol or big rock star, but how about putting some of those music skills to work for The Rock of Ages! Our worship team is crucial for focusing our hearts toward all that Jesus is and having fun doing it.

Nursery Team

We just know there are more ladies out there with that “I just have to hold that baby” itch. It’s not all about just changing diapers (although we all know that does happen.) This time is full of opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the littlest of ones in a safe and secure environment.

Adventure Kidz Children�s Ministry Team

Never mind “got milk,” if you’ve “got life” then plug in here. There is never an opportunity missed here to pass on to the emerging generation the thrill of following Jesus. From directly working with kids as large group teachers and small group coaches, to working in a supportive role such as providing snacks, preparing crafts, administrating or organizing, there’s a place for you to fit in. So what are you waiting for ... join the adventure today!

Office Administration Team

Oh no, we`re out of paper again…well,we need a team of folks to be our office administrators. These people look after our supplies, equipment, ordering, see to the maintenance of equipment and deal with those sometimes pesty phone solicitations. But not only that, these people are “people persons” too, responding to guest contacts and follow-up, as well as things like sprinkler and fire inspections.

Reno Team

Holmes on Homes anyone? Look around, there’s much to do…from all-out construction to pushing a broom. We’re building a building…to build the people of God… to reach the world for God. Young or old, guy or girl, come on out and swing a hammer and let the paint fly! No job is too small or too big…together we can all play a part in this. Maybe you can’t build, but you can organize and promote people who can… step right up!

Communication Team

See the face but can’t remember the name? It’s a common problem. This team is here to help! We’ve all been “bailed out” by the name tag when we forgot a name! Our directory is such a useful tool! But it all takes volunteers to make it happen. Did you know you have a mail box? You didn’t? Well, these guys will see that you do. Don’t forget to check the information tables for upcoming events…these guys look after that too.

Fundraising Team

Sometimes it’s the little investments that pay big dividends in the long run. From collecting Canadian Tire money, soup labels, pennies or the Shop and support program, it all adds up. We are also looking into the possibilities of larger capital fundraising events and need some experienced people in these roles.

Financial Team

No this is not “Bean Counters Anonymous.” Tellers, envelope secretaries and record keepers, all the way to budget setters, cheque cutters, accountants and auditors are needed here. If numbers are your thing, then get counting here!

Community Impact Team

Canada Day, the County Fair, the Christmas parade, Superbowl Sunday, adult bowling, the Car Rally... just who is behind the scenes working to make these Community Impact Events do-able? The planning, setup and takedown, these guys are the ones that make it happen! Just think of all the “in-house” activities we can have for community outreach as well, like ball hockey, video nights, etc. It might be adult bowling or a Family Festival Night! If you can help organize and facilitate and you have a heart to impact our community for Christ…don’t wait…plug in today!

Helping Hands Team

Those times when a new mom needs a meal, or someone is down sick or recovering from surgery, this team steps right up to help out when needed.

Jr. & Sr. High RISE & REV Youth Team

Since most of us reading this were young people at least once in our lives, we all know that there is no real needs here…yeah, right…like totally NOT TRUE. Do you have a heart for teens? From Friday night fun and talks… to camps, laserquest and retreats… it all takes some serious, and well, OK, some not so serious adult leadership and helper involvement.

Prayer Team

This is our “Take-it-up-with-God” team. The foundation of our dependency on God is expressed here. Do you feel the real passion to be a prayer warrior? Join this crucial team today.

Women's Ministry Team

This is not about knitting socks! This is serious fellowship around some good study, food, and lots of what women like to do best…talk! (Did we say that…can`t believe we said that!) From organizing, advertising, preparation and events, much needs to be done to see good fellowship, friendships, and mentoring happen.

Global Mission Partnerships Team

From assessing ministry partnerships and vision, to challenging people to the “big picture” of world evangelism in our generations time, if you have a heart to see that life is not about us…plug into the heart of God here.

Grounds Team

“I’m sure glad I don’t have to bring a shovel or plow snow to get into the parking lot,” you say. BUT “somebody” had to look after this. Maybe you have a “Green Thumb” to help with the grass and flowers we love to see around the building. Our grounds team looks after many things we so often take for granted.

Building Maintenance Team

“I wonder whose job it is to fix that door so it closes properly?” “Hey, this table is broken, who’s going to fix it?” These people look after the “stuff” that often falls between the cracks! Did you know we have to have sprinkler inpections? Maybe you are a jack-of-all-trades, master of none… there is never-ending activities to see to here.

Custodial Care Team

No one likes going into the bathroom and finding theres no TP, right? Well these people facilitate the caring and cleaning of our facilities. They may help out themselves, or they may help see that people are recruited and equipped to see that these important things get done.

Library Team

Who likes to read, enjoy a video, or settle down with a new music CD? Then check out the library! All this did not arrive by osmosis though. (If you don’t know what osmosis means…look it up in your library!) These are the people who look after getting the “good” stuff for all us to enjoy, and to keep on enjoying, time and again.

Internet Technologies Team

Let’s face it, the internet is here to stay, so let’s use it and promote it more. Do you have some web design experience, creativity, know how to set up a blog? Then this is the place for you.

Promotion Team

Every church has some experienced people in advertising and graphic design. Why do people have jobs in this area? Because advertising does not cost…it pays. These folks invest their time and skills to see that our message to our own people and to the community is well-communicated.

Creative Arts Team

The more things are communicated visually, the better we learn. Drama, skits, singing, presentations…we’ll use whatever makes the “point” to communicate in the most effective way. You don’t have to be Johnny Depp or Kirsten Dunst…if you are just feeling a little creative, join us… the sky is the limit here.
