About Us - Who We Are

Upon entering Pleasant Valley, you may see something that you've never seen in other churches. In fact, these very words may flash through your mind, "These guys are pretty laid back." At first, I was surprised to see people wearing jeans and a t-shirt, talking to one another over a coffee. Thankfully I grew to enjoy waking up every day and putting on clothes that I felt comfortable wearing.

The service starts with music that we sing to worship God. The worship style ranges from upbeat and "rockin", to slow and soulful, each picked to go with the Pastors Talk from the Bible and also because we enjoy them. Pastor Paul Douwes enjoys keeping the lessons interactive and relavant so that everybody can enjoy and learn God's plan for our lives.

Pleasant Valley was created with others in mind, and that mentality has not left. The people who attend Pleasant Valley range from the young to the experienced. Each person has their own unique story, but we have all gathered together for one purpose: to learn about and worship God.
