What to Expect on a Sunday at Pleasant Valley Church
Pleasant Valley Church is made up of real people with real joys and real struggles. There are no perfect people here.
A typical Sunday morning worship service at Pleasant Valley will run about an hour and 15 minutes, and will include worship through song (guitar, keyboard, drums…) in a modern style, prayer, Bible reading, relaying church community events, and a life-impacting message from our pastor or a guest.
During the service, there are programs for children age 3 – grade 5. The kids start the service with their parents and are dismissed halfway through with their peers to age appropriate classes. There is a prevention plan for kids so that you can always feel safe about their care during the service. There is also a nursery program for infants and toddlers, and these children may be brought right into their care centre before the service. An usher or greeter will always be available to steer you in the right direction if you aren’t sure where to go.
People dress however they feel comfortable: some people prefer to wear nicer clothes on Sunday mornings, others prefer jeans or shorts, and everyone fits in! It’s air conditioned and some find it cool enough to bring another layer.
While we do take up an offering each week as a part of worship, newcomers are NOT expected to give… you can if you’d like. We’ll make sure that you get receipted for income tax purposes too if you leave us your contact information.
We look forward to having you join us!
